There has been so much information thrown at me, I never knew which way was up. These are the things I followed as advised by different doctors, and/or nurses.
Odd thing, even within the same team of doctors there is mixed advice.
ASK YOURS!
NO RAW MEAT & VEGETABLES..
This is tough! Would really like some Shashimi and a medium rare hamburger! BUT I adhered to this as if my life depended on it.
NO LEFTOVERS…
I have had my own medical team say different things on this. I adhered to this mostly. Towards the holidays I was told within 24 hours, with proper immediate storage of the food. And heated thoroughly, per my doctor.
TOOTHBRUSHES…
(this was my own) I was told that infection was my biggest enemy. Infection via the mouth is huge. I looked at my toothbrush sitting in a cup and the hospital and got a little disturbed. Went on amazon, ordered 150 cheap soft toothbrushes, and I use a new one every day. THIS IS A ME THING – NO DOCTOR EVER SUGGESTED IT.
WALK…
I get up and walk as much as possible whenever I can. This included when it was raining, too cold. I would walk in circles in my condominium.
WASH HANDS…..
CONSTANTLY, ALWAYS
KNOW MY NUMBERS…
I never go in public without a mask, but I never go in public when my white blood cells are below 4. Occasionally when then are at 3.2. And Walmart first thing in the morning before people
NEVER TOUCH A SHOPPING CART…
And if I am alone, I never touch my face until I sterilize the hands.
